It’s commentary time for Do You Expect Us To Talk? as we transition into another franchise. These commentaries a regular stop gap to revisit Bond and since its been a while, Dave chose one of our favourites, Casino Royale. The starting point to our current Bond was a reset for the franchise as Daniel Craig gives a blistering debut.
Sit back and listen as Becca, Dave and Chris discuss why Little Britain isn’t talked about any more, not Edward Norton, the interest in looking at dead bodies, Michael G Wilsons cameos, differences in airline versions and Judi Dench’s chest.
Joining me this episode is the author of the new book Born to be Bad. A series of interviews of the actors most prominent playing villains during the 80″s and 90’s, discovering they’re on set stories and how their roles impacted their career. The book is available on Amazon here.

In this episode, we talk about Ti’s book, love of action cinema, can Tommy Wiseau actually act, having Greg Sestero round for Christmas, the mystery of and the insanity of the making of the film Roar.
So we’ve now reached the last leg of the Bond series with the beginning of the Daniel Craig era with Casino Royale. We make no bones about it, this is one of the finest films in the series in our opinion so prepare yourselves for a love letter as we jizz all over it for 2 hours.
Introducing Craig as James Bond, this is a reboot of the franchise that takes Bond back to his roots as a fresh 00 agent. Starring Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini, and Jeffrey Wright, the central plot takes place at a high stakes poker game in order to trap a financier of terrorism. Directed by Martin Campbell returning to the series for the second time to breath new life into the franchise.
Listen as we enjoy the film sequentially and praise the fuck out of it.
