Merry Christmas Everyone. It’s January, the festive season has come and gone, but seeing as Christmas has been cancelled (in the UK anyway) , here’s our 2020 Christmas episode. Sorry for the delay but this year it’s Chris’s choice and it’s the Arnie Classic Jingle All The Way. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a workaholic dad who forgot to buy his son a Turbo Man doll, the season’s hottest toy. In an attempt to live up to his promises and not let his son down, he has to dash across the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul on Christmas Eve. Hilarity ensues.

Do You Expect Us To Talk returns with the recent incarnation of The Planet oft he Apes series. Rise is set in modern day as scientists attempt to create a cure for Alzheimer’s disease using apes as test subjects. When pharmaceutical chemist Will Rodman’s key subject is shot after a rampage, he’s left with her son (Caesar) who he takes home. As Caesar grows and becomes smarter as the years go by, Caesar questions his place in the word as the development of the cure takes on the form of a virus.

Do You Expect Us To Talk? returns with our 200th episode and one of our shortest to boot. Tim Burton’s remake left us struggling to remember the plot – if there was one. Staring Marky Mark as the astronaut who follows to reclaim his monkey and finds himself on a mysterious planet rules by apes. Beyond that, we struggle to give you a better synopsis other than Tim Roth looks angry, Marky Mark looks confused smelling a fart and some weird ending no one knows what it’s about.

As hostility rises between gorillas and humans, Caesar searches for archived footage of Cornelius and Zira within the underground ruins of the forbidden city. Unknowingly trespassing on the ground of the remaining mutated humans, who see the apes as a threat and prepare for battle.

Do You Expect Us To Talk? concludes its Spider-Man series (or does it?) with the animated Into The Spider-Verse. Set in a different universe, it follows Miles Morales, a young teenager from New York who’s been sent to boarding school having to adjust to his new way of life. When he is bitten by a spider from a different dimension, Miles picks up spider like powers. As Spider-Man dies trying to stop Kingpin from using a super-collider that would cause untold damage. Teaming up with other versions of Spider-Man from other realities, Miles must get the grip with his powers to stop Kingpin and send the others back home.
